  • Hillary Clinton promotional products

Presidential candidates have long used promotional products as a way to collect donations from their supporters. In 2008 one of PeachyApricot’s own - Denitza designed a T-shirt for Hillary Clinton’s fundraising contest. The contest was part of Hillary Clinton’s then presidential run against Barak Obama.

The T-shirt design featured Clinton's silhouette and proclaimed, "For everyone who's ever been counted out but refused to be knocked out and for everyone who works hard and never gives up, this one is for you!"

The text was inspired by Hillary Clinton's victory speech in Ohio 2008.

125,000 people voted for their favorite Hillary Clinton t-shirt and Denitza’s design was the one that won among five thousand other entries. This allowed Denitza to meet Hillary several times and gave publicity and visibility to the design.

The best part of this effort was that the proceeds of that t-shirt helped retire part of Hillary Clinton’s 2008 primary debt.

Fast forward to the 2016 presidential race, Hillary is once again running and this time securing a historic victory as the first woman winning the democratic nomination for president.

A little before she announced her candidacy in 2015 we got contacted by Adam Parkhomenko who at the time was the executive director of the Ready for Hillary super PAC. He wanted to use some of our 2008 designs on promotional products with the goal to raise money for Hillary and we gladly agreed to it.

The best part of this effort was that the proceeds of that t-shirt helped retire part of Hillary Clinton’s 2008 primary debt.

This inspired us to update our old work, but also create new Hillary Clinton related designs to be ready when her candidacy became official. This time it was Kareen, the other half of PeachyApricot who took on the challenge. Kareen is the creator of some of our most successful artworks like the Golden Girls, Hairy Slother and Retta. We sometimes work together as a team but this time she took on Hillary alone and her final work on the designs is truly amazing!

From the very beginning it was decided that part of the proceeds of everything Hillary Clinton we create would go to her presidential campaign. We also knew that regardless of all promotional efforts, we would never be able to raise as much money for her as the campaign could if they carried the design in the official Hillary Clinton store. We contacted Adam Parkhomenko who had moved on to become the Director of Grassroots Engagement at Hillary for America. He loved the idea and offered to send it to their merchandize department.

As opposed to 2008, this time around Hillary Clinton enjoys much bigger public backing from a number of influential people in fashion and design industry. Top designers have offered up their services to create t-shirts for her and many of them like Marc Jacobs, Tory Burch, Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne helped put out a series of t-shirts on HillaryClinton.com. In addition, according to Vogue.com, more Hillary Clinton related “designer merchandise” is to be expected in the months ahead.

Because of this, we are not certain that the campaign will pick and carry our designs, but while the decision is pending, all of our new Hillary Clinton creations are available on our website.

All our mugs, coasters and keychains were designed to help elect the first woman president of the United States. We also take great pride in that 100% of our products are made by us from start to finish without exception. For every unit sold, $2 will be donated to Hillary. That means with each purchase you are supporting the Hillary Victory Fund.
